Consumer Protection Law
Consumer Protection Law Questions? Ask a Lawyer Now.
Hello and thank you for the question.
There should be a record of what was sold and what shares were issued
The broker that handled the trade would be able to obtain it
you may also consider a complaint with the SEC
which can investigate for free for you what happened
A lawyer locally may also send a letter to the company's legal department
and a subpoena may issue during legal proceedings should it come to that
Is that clear and acceptable or can I clarify anything?
would you like a directory as well for finding local counsel?
What is SEC?How do I contact them?
I would like a directory.
the securities and exchange commission deals with and investigates security impropertieties
along with US attorneys office
but I would proceed with the company first
as there may be an explanation and resolution to be reached that way
For a directory, I suggest martindale.com and findlaw.com
both highly rated and easy to use by location and practice.
Is the answer clear and acceptable?
Yes and Thank you.

Have a nice day
