Is there a statute of limitations on a NSF check?
Hello and welcome to Just Answer. For over 32 years, I have answered questions just like yours. And I look forward to assisting you.

Are you trying to collect? Or did you write an NSF check?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

It was a check I wrote over 5 years ago which I thought had been taken care of

I assume you are being pursued by the creditor and not the district attorney. If that is the case, the S of L is four years from the date it was written. So you should speak to a consumer law attonrey to represent you and argue that the S of L has passed.
