Barnes and Noble removed my previosly purchased book from my nook.I discovered it by accident, they never notified me about it.The manager stated that it was the publisher issue, not theirs.I purchased the book from Barnes and Noble, not from the publisher. They could't tell me how many books they removed from me or other customers. Is it legal to remove the book, that I've already paid for,not to notify me about it and not to give my money back?
Optional Information: State/Country relating to question: Texas Already Tried: I notified the BBB-they said that they would send my complaint to B@N.
No, if you paid for the book, then they should have credited your account for the purchase if they removed it. You paid for an item you no longer have and this is Barnes and Nobel's fault, since your agreement was between you and them and not the publisher. Another complaint you need to file is with the Attorney General's Consumer Protection unit and have them investigate as well. Of course, if the AG and BBB cannot resolve it, the only thing you could sue for is the cost of the book, and then it is up to you to decide if it is worth going to small claims court.
