Your personal property items are yours. You have every right to retrieve them and the repo company has no right to charge you to retriever your personal property items.
So I just go and ask for them back.
You may consider contacting the local police department to see if they will assist in ensuring that you have access to your property. At the very minimum, they can make a report.
Many repo companies will consider backing off if you threaten to get the police involved.
I'm filling bankrupcty so I had the car in the garage until the court hearing, then I could buy the car back. They couldn't wait.
I'm sorry, that sounds like a rough situation. If only they would listen to reason.
