My wife went to a dentist for an estimate. They had her sign some papers. I believe they took advantage of her broken english. She did get any work done. Only x-rays for an estimate. Now they say we owe then $10,000 even if we don't get any work done. can you help us?
What are they basing the $10k figure on?
All future work to be done. The have not done any work on her at all.
I should have said they did not do any work on her teeth, only x-rays. They did not give her any papers at all. They say now that if we want copies of papers that it will cost us $50 dollars.
We just got a bill from care credit for $10,200.
It sounds like there was a mistake and maybe your wife filled out an application for credit to do the work without realizing it. You should be able to just write them and tell them she did not knowingly apply for credit and does not want it. They should just cancel whatever arrangement they have at that point.Thank you for allowing me to assist you. I believe I have answered all of the questions you asked so I would request that you please click the ACCEPT button so I receive credit for my work and leave feedback if you have a chance. Please consider clicking "BONUS" as a nice way of saying "thanks" for a job well done, although this is neither required nor expected. Please remember that we can only base our answers on the information you provide and sometimes a misunderstanding as to what you are looking for or already know occurs so feel free to ask additional questions. Please be aware that my answer is not legal advice, it is merely information and no attorney client relationship has been formed. You should always contact a local attorney for legal advice.Several customers have asked how they direct a question to me in particular. If you specifically want me to provide information for you just put “FOR TEXAS ATTY” in the subject line and I will pick up the next time I am online.
I asked the dentist office to cancel, and they refuse to cancel. now what?
Did your wife sign a contract with them?
