I have a 1984 525B load all. I have it running great and the hydraulics work strong but the shuttle FNR doesn't seem to be engaging. Is there a site I could look at that would explain this system to me.

Hello! Let's see if we can work together and come to a satisfactory conclusion!

I have little information on the transmission, do you know what kind it is? A Clark or something else? What I do know, is it has a inching valve, used to kick transmission into neutral when the brake is applied. With any forklift type machine, if this inching valve sticks in the open position, it dumps the clutch oil and you loose f/r. Locate the inching valve, it will be actuated by the brakes, and will be on the transmission control valve. Remove it and check for sticking valve or broken return spring.

I see question is still open, did you find problem in the inching system?
