Need to fix o-rings on the blade control valve bank D3G.

Customer Question

Need to fix o-rings on the blade control valve bank for my D3G. Does Cat produce an o-ring kit for these? Do I need to release hydraulic pressure somehow if the blade is down and engine is off when I remove the control valve bank? Thanks, Dexter

With the blade down easy, put it in float and with the key on work the controls in all directions to bleed the residual pressure from the cylinders. Cat can look up the valve by your serial number. Sometimes they have seal kits listed and other times the seals need to be bought individually from the parts breakdown.

How do you get the blade into float? Thanks for the info
Expert:  Dan replied 11 months ago.

Most you push the lever all the way down but on some of the newer machines will have a switch for float.... I would have to look at the operators manual for this model... Do you have that by chance? If you put the blade down level without pressure on it and move the lever it will still bleed out the pressure with the IGN switch on.

Is "key on" just with auxiliary on or engine running. Thanks again
