Does unit overheat? How quick does it happen? You may have headgasket that is blown , allowing the compression to enter the cooling system.

Can be tested with tester at radiator, which draws the gasses off the top of the coolant. If combustion gases are present, the fluid will change color. Most auto supplies will have the tester to rent.

I could call, but it is extra charge and I can't add much. I would get tester and check for combustion gases.

OK, Check the lower connections to the water pump. It could be sucking air into the system.

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Or a bad water pump will do the same, but waterpump should show evidence of leaking.
