I have a 920 Cat Loader,It hasn't been started for a while,When I start the engine,
it goes way up high then slowly goes down and shuts off,I did this 3 or 4 times,I changed the oil and fuel filters put new Diesel in.Some says air lock in the lines?? thank you for your help.Linda

If it starts up again, it is the injection pump and internal governor sticking.

I doubt there is any repair other than removing the injection pump and having it rebuilt. The governor holds the pump wide open for starting, and then as soon as engine starts, should reduce it to idle or the selected speed. It is slow to reduce the speed and when it does, it falls to the no fuel position, and kills it.
