I have a terex tx760b backhoe and every time I put it in

Customer Question

I have a terex tx760b backhoe and every time I put it in reverse it blows the "drive" fuse. Any input?

Unplug the reverse solenoid and see if fuse still blows. If fuse still blows, follow the wire back to the f/r switch. If it does not blow, check the solenoid for short.

Reverse Solenoid likely is bad.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Is the reverse solenoid under the cab?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

forward and reverse are both on the transmission shift cover, under the cab!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok I'll check that out tomorrow. Thank you. Is there any distinction between the two?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

Use shifter to work forward, it should click each time it is shifted to forward. The other one is the reverse.
