Customer Question

Cat d5m FTC steering harsh, 22.5 volts showing at steering solenoid, 4.5 depressed
Modulation on both FTC goes from 22.5 to 4.5 but there's no in between. Could it be that brake is engaging slightly before clutch? Very harsh brake when engages

It is difficult to read the signal through the sensors for the controls. This is usually done with CAT ET or the dash, using the Service Mode Control Box.

The brake sensitivity can be adjusted through the calibration process.

Do you have access to the service manuals? It is not to hard to follow the steps outlined in the manual and using the control box.
