I have a 2001 246CAT skid steer loader / Serial # XXXXX and my problem is back pressure on my return hydralic lines to the tank. The only time I have a problem is when i use the hydralics on the loader side
I am sorry no one has picked up your question. I only work here at night and to answer most questions, you need some access to CAT manuals. I will be glad to help however I can.Can you please send me the part number of the line so I can check the history and see if CAT has notice problems or announced changes to the system.
As I posted in the original question. 2001 246 CAT Skid Steer loader/Serial Number 5SZ04443, I have replaced the hose 3 times as it would build up pressure and blow. Part # XXXXX the hose we replaced was(NNN) NNN-NNNN This last hose is a stronger hose but it builds up back pressure to the return hydralic lines on the loader side. I have cleaned out the breather tubes and filter on the resevior tank . I have replaced some O -rings and continue to have same problem with the back pressure on the return lines on the loader side.
I am reviewing the return line and manifold operation. Can you explain more about the back pressure problem? What do you mean by, it is only on the loader side? Does a certain operation cause the hose to blow off? The manifold receives oil from the main pump and motor case drains. It could be a failing motor sending excess oil back to the return manifold. Have any other lines be replaced? The check valve in the manifold is to protect the oil cooler. If these lines get are crossed with something else, flow could be wrong and causing back pressure.Does the hydraulic oil get hot? Have you seen metal in the system at anytime? Have you had a hydraulic component fail before this happened?I did not find any letters relating to a hose problem. I am digging deeper to see other reasons why this could happen. I have not had this problem but, I only have a few of the skid steers in my area.catmastertech41081.1226053588
2001 246 CAT Skid Steer loader/Serial Number 5 S Z 04443.Part #(NNN) NNN-NNNNfor the hose replacement. The back pressure I get is when I go to use the Loader pushing down I can hear the blowing of the oil and the oil comes out no other lines replaced, just hose and o -rings & there is have a leak i don't know where it comes from. The hydraulic oil does not get hot. I have not seen any metal, but I did not cut open the filter to check. I have not had any problems before this happened. Thank You! Ken
Why is it saying this is closed and I have to relist?
