Do you have the serial number on the CAT attachment?
This should work for most SG18 wiring harness' it will give you an idea of how it is connected on the CAT side.
If you can find the Deere wiring, you should match the controls to each solenoid to make it work.
I don't have access to any Deere equipment.
tag is tore off, i have no idea what it is
As long as it is not a B model, I think this will work.
Does your grinder have the valves shown in the picture?
(NNN) NNN-NNNNWork Tool Harness As
(1) Solenoid for the swing solenoid valve
(2) Solenoid for the extension solenoid valve
(3) Solenoid for the depth solenoid valve
OOPS! forgot to add which number is XXXXX each solenoid.
i have this diagram, it doesnt seem there is enough amperage to operate the solenoids. i can run straight 12v to the solenoids and get action but from the machine nothing works
Sounds like the Deere side is not using the machine controls as CAT does. You may need a Deere guy to help you on that end.
I will OPT-OUT so others can see your question. Sorry, I could not help.
i have a deautch connector kit and have tried many scenarios to make it work. even contacted deere, they said a cat unit will not work on a deere machine
the grinder has the 3 solenoids, how ever thay arent actuating per the diagram
Ok, here is a little information about how the hydraulics work. I am assuming you added the doide to the harness as shown. SG18 Hydraulic system <<<click here.
Your machine must have the FIVE connections to operate this grinder.
Three for the drive and two for the cylinder operations.
the grinder has 2 diodes on the unit, not aware of adding one to the machine end
The two shown in the attachment harness is what I am asking about. The SG18 should have a(NNN) NNN-NNNNWork Tool Harness As with it.
i have 8 wires on the large deuch connector. i have traced the button functions on the j sticks to the large connector on the machine, i have made the unit function with a battery cgharger firing the wires with the machine to flow thw hyds. when i hook to the machine it wont operate.
I do not know of any special add-on to make the amperage you need. CAT is just a plug-in system. The wires are larger for the current. About 14 gauge, I think. That is why I was suggested it might be a Deere problem. Have you tried making a harness to the controller on the Deere to see if wire size or weak ground is a problem?
it only has the large 8 pin connector on it
I don't have much else I can offer. I only work on CAT machines so I don't have any information on others. I am usually on the large machines and only see these when one of my regular customers has a problem. I will OPT-OUT again to lets others see the question. Sorry, I could not help you.
