I'm having problems with my computer. I own a Hewlett-Packard Compaq presario desktop, it has Microsoft windows home 7 operating system. The problem is when it is idle it blacks out. I move the mouse and press the keyboard buttons to get it to turn on but it will not. I have to manually restart it. When i do this after it is restarting it asks me if a want to to restart it normal or in repair mode, i select normal and it restarts but i don't get a desktop screen. I then have to manually restart it again and select repair mode. It then goes thru a series of diagnostics, and asks me if i want to have the computer restore to an originally point in time when it was working. I select to restore. it then goes thru some systems checks and restores the computer to the most recent point; usually its 12 hours from the last normal activity. The computer does work fine from this point and none of my programs are affected, but when i leave the computer alone for an hour or so it blacks out and i have to got thru this process again. What can be causing the problem and what should i do to fix? I do have an active anti-virus soft ware.

I have Windows 7 installed on my 64 bit computer. When I turn the computer on or reboot 9 times out of 10 the printers are not there. I go to print something and it says " no printers installed" After numerous reboots it may pick up the printers. It has got to the stage where I leave the computer on.

I have another laptop if you can help me figure out what is wrong with it?
Its an Compaq Presario CQ60.
Has no signs of life. I bought an AC Adapter cord for it, I know they make two different AC cords for it, one is a 60W and the other is a 90W. I bought the 60W I hope its the right one.
Any suggestions to try to see what’s wrong with it?
