    Hi,

    I am considering upgrading to windows 8 (I presently have windows 7). It appears the most promoted way to do so is through an upgrade, whether it be done via download or via a physical disc.

    In the event my computer started acting strange and I wanted to do a clean install, would I be able to do that via the upgrade disc? Or could I even use my windows 7 installation disc to perform the clean install and then re-upgrade to windows 8 again?

    All my programs shortcuts has been linked to Windows Photo Viewer. When I am trying to open any program, I receive a message that "Windows photo viewer can't open this picture because either photo viewer does not support this file format or you don't have the latest updates. Even when I tried to install any updates for the photo viewer or any other application, I receive the same screen with the same message. I tried also the solutions mentioned herein before, but I received the same message. Please help to get out of this trouble.
