Have you tried another power out in the house to see if the TV powers on? If possible.
There's no way to remote into a TV especially when the TV is not powered on.

You mentioned you bought the TV back in April 2016, am I right?
I believe you are still under SONY's 1 year warranty which expires next month.
I recommend you take advantage of the warranty now before it expires.
Your TV might have a blown power supply or something on the mainboard might have blown a fuse.

Your still under SONY's 1 year warranty. Next month, the warranty will expire but you also have a choice to extend the warrantry with them by calling 1-***-***-****.
As for warranty repairs you have two choices:
I recommend to do so since with these new TV's you don't know what to expect. Just give them a call and listen to how much it going to costs to get an extension warranty.
As for repairs go, you can contact them about the issue your having or you can find a nearby authorized servicer to get it fixed locally.
