We have a 55 inch sony that was working perfectly yesterday

Customer: We only had it since april 2016 and havent had any issues but it just wont turn on

Please perform power reset, kindly check the steps below:

  1. Turn off the television.
  2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
  5. Turn on the television.

We did all that and nothing happens. All other devices plugged into the same power bar work except the TV

There's no way to remote into a TV especially when the TV is not powered on.

Your TV might have a blown power supply or something on the mainboard might have blown a fuse.

Your still under SONY's 1 year warranty​. Next month, the warranty will expire but you also have a choice to extend the warrantry with them by calling 1-***-***-****.

As for warranty repairs you have two choices:

  1. ​Call in at 1-***-***-**** to report your TV to get fixed.
  2. There might be near by authorized servicers​ in your area if you provide the state and city you live. You can bring the TV to get it fixed into service.

I recommend to do so since with these new TV's you don't know what to expect. Just give them a call and listen to how much it going to costs to get an extension warranty.
