Without making any changes, the cursor started to act

Customer Question

without making any changes, the cursor started to act irratic with limited control via the touch control on my Dell laptop. Any ideas? Windows 7 is the OS.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your Dell? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: The best I can find on the underside is Model PP201 built in Malaysia. It's an older machine that I just purchased used. Other than Win 7, I don't know more.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Firefox and TOR. I also installed my older version of Office 2003 from my disk.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: The cursor started misbehaving while running Freecell.

No updates yet to touchpad driver. Regarding a secure connection for remote troubleshooting, I am currently on a different computer than the trouble one because it is so difficult to move the cursor correctly. But am willing!1
