Hi, I'm Robert and I'll be helping you with your computer question.

I need to know what make and model printer it is but if the yellow light is on the printer that is where the problem is. Not the computer

It might be as simple as a paper jam or out of ink

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Ther is no paper jam and not out of ink.

If you tell me the make and model of the printer and exactly what button is lit I can tell you what the issue is

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Canon Pixma mg5220 on the front right hand side are 3 lights most right is above on/off switch, and is blue when the printer is working but off now. to the left are 2 lights, the right light is yellow

does it say anything on it or have a symbol ?

looking at the manual it is probably the wifi button

that is supposed to be blue when it is connected to the wifi

if it is not connected you can try

A. just turning it off and on again and it might re connect

or

B. do the original setup again

the instructions are on this page

http://downloads.canon.com/wireless/router_network_change_MG5220.pdf

once that light is blue you might have to install it on your computer again as it might have a new IP address

to do that go to devices and printers

remove the printer

click the add printer button

it should find it on the network

you can then just click next next etc

and it will show up again and work.

i can log in remotely to do this with you if you want to pay a little extra for premium service.
