I forgot my password, had a heck of a time trying access

I forgot my password, had a heck of a time trying access yahoo to re set it. After 3 tries I got it to send an access code to my cell phone, I used it and got 2 names as having my cell phone: John Clifton & Madlin Stephens or something like that name. Neither is me. Now what?
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: Probably months, since I stay signed in and never have to, only rarely. I used myold password ***** a few others, tried the hints which were incorrect since my hints probably weren't being used. What now?
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Maybe some automatic ones have been done.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't know. Just want to access my yahoo email accout : ***@******.*** and not have my name as someone else's as it is now.
JA: Got it. I'm sure you'll come up with a good name.
Customer: ?
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: That 2 other peoples names were given as mine and now I have access to Madlin's mail but not my own.
