The wifi connection keeps disconnecting, I had disabled it a few months ago because I wasn't using wi-fi, but now that I am in Florida for the winter, I have to use it. Even when its working, the wi-fi light on the computer doesn't show.
JA: Have you tried unplugging your router for about ten seconds? And what about other devices? Do they have connectivity?
Customer: I have no access to router, but my other computer and my phone work fine.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Probably, I can't remember - the adapter is a Qualcomm Atheros AR 9485 wireless network adapter, and the system tells me that the driver is up to date and operational.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes, there is a difference in settings between my other laptop that works and this one, in advanced settings, the one that works shows enable and this one shows long and short
