JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your computer? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: Inspiron 15, 3000 Series, core 13,
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I thought my machine came with the software, cannot find it, earlier I downloaded the update thinking if I had it, I could find it.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

If this is a brand new laptop it should have Windows 10.

Here's how to find out: On your keyboard, hold down the Windows logo key (just to the left of the Alt key) and press R.

The Run box will open.

In the text area type: winver and click OK. You'll see your version.

You're computer may or may not have Microsoft Office software on it.

That would depend on what Dell included on the machine.

If you have Windows 10, click the start menu button ( the icon in the lower left corner of the screen)

Scroll through the list of programs and look for Microsoft Office or Office 365.
