Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist.

Did you get the spinning balls immediately after a Windows Update?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Expert:  Byron replied 3 months ago.

Thank you. Please try this. Hold down the power button until the computer shuts off.

Remove the power cord from the back for 60 seconds.

After 1 minute, plug the cord back in and power it up.

Let me know the result please.

Thanks. Did this machine originally come with Windows 10 or was it upgraded from a previous version of Windows?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
It came with the machine
Expert:  Byron replied 3 months ago.

Thanks. When a Windows Update gets stuck like this usually rebooting the machine a few times will get it

to work things out. If that doesn't happen, the only option left is to reset the machine.

Have your files been backed up or is this a fairly new machine with not much on it?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
It's a year old and my files have been backed up
Expert:  Byron replied 3 months ago.

Ok. Power off the computer. Turn it back on and immediately start tapping the F2 key at the top of the keyboard

about once per second. You must start doing this before you get the spinning balls or repeat and tap F2

a little sooner.

The Lenovo Rescue System screen will open.

Select OneKey Recovery.

If it asks you anything you're uncertain of, please ask me.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I have two tasks to choose, restore from initial status or restore from users backup
Expert:  Byron replied 3 months ago.

Select Initial

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
It is now restoring to initial backup
Expert:  Byron replied 3 months ago.

Thanks. This will take a bit and will put the machine back to the way it was

when first started up, including the software that originally came with the computer.
