I have a streaming stick purchased Aug 27. Last nite the remote stopped working...completely dead. Batteries are OK
JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: I have a dell. The problem is not associated with my computer.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I have not. YThe computer updates itself mos of the time.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: The Roku homescreen is projected on my TV as normal, but my remote has no effect when the buttons are pushed.

Please unplug the stick from the tv (and power), and remove batteries from remote.
Wait 5 minutes

Plug the stick back in (tv and power),

once the light comes on, put the batteries into the remote.

If you have a little black or purple button inside the battery cover, press and hold that, while holding the remote near the stick. After about a minute it should link up.
