I want to know how to correct this issue so I don't have it again. Even with Microsoft Security and Malware Bytes on my pc, since I live on the road using unsecured wifi I have found it easier to just reload from scratch now and then to clear issues.

Are you there?

yes,

  • Some updates can’t be installed if you’re using a metered Internet connection.
  • If you’re connected the Internet and updates aren’t installed automatically, wait a few minutes and then try to install the updates manually.
  • Use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to try to fix the problem.http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9830262
