Printer stopped printing, trying to manually delete files

Customer Question

Printer stopped printing, trying to manually delete files from printer spool. Won't let me delete what I think are corrupted files...
JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: PC Dell Latitude laptop

To do that please follow the below steps

1)Please open the below link URL in browser

2)Then click on I agree button at the bottom of the page .

3)After that click on Download link to download a file and run it

Please follow the below steps .

  • Browse to Start -> Run… and type in “NET STOP SPOOLER” (this will stop the print spooler service)
  • Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder
  • You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print – delete these files.
  • Browse to Start -> Run… and type in “NET START SPOOLER” (this will restart the print spooler service)
  • Double click the printer icon in the lower-right corner of your taskbar to examine your print job queue and browse to View -> Refresh.

Already deleted a bunch of these files yesterday. Now only two remain, FP0000 a 64kb Schockwave file and FP000.SHD 11kb SHB file

Same two files come up on spooler again. I deleted them again, and the printer didn't print. Same two files show in spooler again.
