For the past few days I have been getting a "Sign in failed"

for the past few days I have been getting a "Sign in failed" message, and although I put in my password ***** click "ok", I still get that message. In addition, I am now unable to send any e-mails.
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: I have been trying - using my usual password, but I get the same message.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I don't think so.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

I'm sorry about the issue. What email do you use, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc.?

Are you able to receive new email messages?

Do you have windows xp, vista, or 7, or 8, 10, or mac computer?
