Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist.
A common cause of this is your firewall is blocking the ports the program uses to communicate
over the internet. Try temporarily disabling your firewall and try the installation again.
I believe your Internet Explorer issue is related as well. Open Internet Explorer.
Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab in the upper right corner.
Put a checkmark in the box labeled Delete Personal Settings
and click Reset again.
Close and re-open Internet Explorer.
Oh. Edge is a Windows Store app. Click in the start box and type: find and fix problems
and open the search result at the top.
On the page that opens, in the upper left, click View All
You'll see a list of troubleshooters.
Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
What kind of error are you getting?
How long have you been having this problem with Edge. The error code indicates a connection problem.
Right-click the start menu button and select Run
In the Run box type: rstrui and click OK.
System Restore will launch.
Click Choose a different restore point (if you see the option) and click Next.
Put a checkmark in the box labeled Show More Restore Points.
Choose a restore point older than when the problem developed
and click Next and then Finish.
This will put your Windows system files back to the state they were in on the chosen date.
This won't affect your data files.
Give it a description and create the restore point.
Click the start button and open Settings (or click the gear icon if you don't see Settings)
On the Settings page open Update & Security
what does it say under "Update Status"
This is what the window should look like. (see attachment)
I'm not sure why that isn't working. I'm going to open your question to all the experts
to take a look at. They'll be able to see our conversation so far so you
won't have to repeat anything. You'll receive an email notification when one responds.
