Hi! I'm Eric, a computer expert who's been paired with you through I'm reviewing your question now, and will return w/ an answer soon!

Expert:  Eric Ewing replied 1 month ago.

Hello! The "failure ID" you provided is proprietary to HP and we're not able to glean anything from it, I'm afraid. The ID is generated by HP System Diagnostics, and:

  • is randomly generated, and unique each occurrence
  • Identifies the specific components that did not pass validation
  • Includes warranty information with information about the customer's service entitlement
  • Provides information about the model, serial number, test time stamp, and failure

However, we still may be able to offer some guidance. Can you elaborate more on the issues you've been having with this computer?

Thanks! I look forward to hearing back from you.
