In Windows Live Mail, when attempting to check mail, I am told "There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar Service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative."

Customer: Desktop about 5 years old, running Windows 10 for last two or three months.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No

In Windows Live Mail click File>>Options>>Mail

Click the Connection tab and click Stop Signing In (twice)

Close and reopen Live Mail.
