how do I reset to factory default. this was my mothers computer and she does not remember anything about it.

ok, to do the factory reset (which will remove all data)

First power off the Asus

Then power it on and keep tapping F9 until you are at the recovery manager

Once there, follow the onscreen steps to perform a factory reset which wipes everything and reinstalls windows.

ok, in order to solve this, you need to respond to my questions rather then such as replay.

The procedure I gave you works unless someone removed the image from the computer in the past.

So can you please reply to my last question as to

What did you see when you did the procedure I gave you?

As opposed to referring to me as useless...
