For Online Computer Support, Ask a Computer Technician
Hey again George,
So help me to understand this situation. Are you saying you did or did not actually remove the driver?
Also, you're getting the same display error when trying to upgrade?
i removed the driver and software
Okay, thanks. I'm taking a look at HPs site right now.
Can you tell me what version of Windows you're currently running on there?
Did that machine originally come with Vista? The reason I ask is because on HP's website the only drivers listed for that model are for Vista.
windows 7 home prem
Hmm, strange. Is this your computer?
George, I just noticed that you seem to be referencing two computers in your opening message:
HP Pavilion Elite M9340f
One is a desktop and the other is a laptop. Which machine are we talked about here?
the asus K53e need driver and windows10
the other one is fixed
Oh okay, gotcha.
To get the driver reinstalled for the ASUS you should just have to go to the following link:
Choose your operating system and then choose the latest revision of the VGA driver.
Give that a shot and let me know how it goes.
i dont think im getting any where,
Can i try and update Windows and fix drive later
Sure. In fact, if you can successfully upgrade then Win 10 may be able to locate and install the proper driver on its own.
If the standard upgrade is not working for you, the other options would be the same that I listed for your other machine.
