For Online Computer Support, Ask a Computer Technician
Hello and thank you for your question. I look forward to assisting you today. Can you tell me please the make and model of the keyboard and computer, and the version of Windows you are running?
My apologies but I am not able to contact you by phone at this time.
Understandable. I didn't realize you were using that computer. Power it off then restart it. Either bookmark this page or save this link to get back to me.
Reboot or shut it down? Do you have a wired keyboard you can use until we can figure this out?
Try powering it down and pulling the plug for a minute or two then get back to me.
Can you tell me who the manufacturer is please?
I presume this has the wireless USB receiver? Have you tried moving it to a different USB port?
Are you using a wireless mouse as well?
And using Windows 8
Are you using Windows 8 or 10
Since your system is a touch screen, you may have disabled the keyboard in favor of the virtual on screen keyboard. That is why I need to what version of Windows you are using please?
Okay thank you. Try this. Click Start, Settings, then select Ease of Access. Select Keyboard and check the On-Screen Keyboard option. If it is on, turn it off.
When you press the connect button on the keyboard, are you holding it down for several seconds?
Okay one last thing to try if you would please. Remove the USB receiver then restart the computer. After it is fully restarted, insert the receiver into the USB port and within 30 seconds, press the connect button on the keyboard.
Sounds like a plan. The only thing I can think of is the keyboard has failed? Here is the link to request a refund. Have a nice day!
Actually the last thing I indicated was I thought your keyboard may have failed? I will submit your request for a refund. Thank you for your patience.
