I will be the person helping you today.
I can help you in one of two ways:1) We will communicate back and forth on this page.2) Remote support, which would allow me to take a look at the problem and fix it for you while you watch.
In my experiences, remote support saves a lot of time for everybody and is safer because if instructions are not followed correctly, it may make the problem worse or create a new problem.
As a side note, both options are covered by a 100% guarantee and fully refundable, if we are not able to fix your problem.
If you wish to choose the first option, please let me know so we can begin. If you wish to choose the second, better option, then click the Accept this Offer button for Secure Remote Assistance.
- Hold down the two following keys at the same time: Windows key and the letter R- In the box that comes up, type: diskmgmt.msc- Click the Ok button. In the window that comes up, it will list the drives that are connected to the system. Do you see the ReDrive in that listing?
Is the drive turned on and connected directly to the computer or is it connected to a usb hub?
Okay. IS it connected directly to the computer and turned on?
When you plug it into the computer, does the computer make the noise it makes when it recognizes a new device? Also, does the drive spin?
- Hold down the two following keys at the same time: Windows key and the letter R- In the box that comes up, type: devmgmt.msc- Click the Ok button.
- In the window that comes up, click the Disk Drives
- Do you see the drive listed there?
Okay, the drive may not be compatible with Windows 10. When did you update to Windows 10?
Without remoting in, there is not much else that I can do. Have you tried plugging the drive into a different usb port? Unplug the other usb drive and only plug this one in. Is there any change?
I have run out of ideas.
For this reason, I am opting out of the question and allowing another expert the chance to help.
The next expert will see all that is on this page, so there will be no need to repeat anything.
When another expert picks this up, you will be notified by email.
Thank you for your patience.
