I have Windows 10 and recently i am finding that when I use

i have Windows 10 and recently i am finding that when I use a Microsoft office program, I get a blue dot in the upper left hand corner of the screen with my cursor pinned to that dot (about 1" in diameter with a crosshatch in it).
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your computer? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: Windows 10. Toshiba Satellite
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I re-boot and it used to go away but now it seems to be there even after i re-boot. I tried turning off the touchpad and just using the mouse. That had no effect.

The issue first occurred about 2-3 weeks ago. I have the Microsoft Office subscription...the one that updates automatically. Not sure if it occurred after a recent update. It happens with Microsoft Word. Tried Excel and it happens with Excel as well.
