Hi there and welcome

Can you tell me the error or message you get when you try to install it please?

Thank you

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
two things, I can't install Quake 4 and I want to remove "Noad TV" from my computer. When I try to install Quake 4 it rapidly goes to a screen that has a progress bar saying it is removing applications and it stops in the same place every time. This computer is about 5 years old and it ran Quake 4 for years until I got a virus called "Noad TV" and suddenly it crashed and hasn't accepted installation of Quake 4 since.

is anybody out there?

Thanks,

Download the free version of Malwarebytes from my link below

https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Install it and run a full scan and remove all threats it detects.

Once done, restart the computer and keep tapping F8 until you get to a menu and choose Safe Mode.

Choose this and let windows load in safe mode and then run a scan again with Malwarebytes, removing all threats found.

Once completed, restart the computer and it should then be removed, then try to install Quake again.

Let me know the results please.

All done as directed. Nothing changed, "Noad Steep TV" is still alive and well in Task Manager even though Malware found over 600 files it didn't like and I deleted them all and scanned again in Safe Mode and then restarted, but alas Quake 4 comes to a stop at the same place, nothing changed

ok, well there were a lot of infections you had so its good these have been removed.

But can you download Adware Cleaner from my link below please

https://toolslib.net/downloads/finish/1/

After downloading, browse for file location and double-click on adwcleaner.exe.

start the program. To begin scanning the computer, click on Scan button.

Then to start removing identified adware, please click on Cleaning.

Then restart into Safe mode and repeat the procedure

Then tell me if it is gone please

Can you download revouninstaller from my link below

www.revouninstaller.com

Use the free one

Run it and check for Quake there. If you see it, click it and click Force uninstall.

Then click advance, and delete all registry entries and files it finds.

Then restart and install Quake

Let me know the results please

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Revo says no files named Quake 4, but I know that's wrong because there is a Quake 4 folder in programs because it runs across it when I search.
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Richard, I'm sorry but this is dragging on and I've got to get some sleep.
Expert:  Richard replied 5 months ago.

ok, delete the Quake folder manually, restart and then try to install again.

I can mark this question to remain open, so you can sleep, and return to this, this is no problem.
