What type of speaker extension was this?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Actually it was a Yamaha Home Theatre Receiver which works perfectly on my older Asus computer

How about on the Yamaha end. What was the cable plugged into there?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
The cable had RCA connectors on the Yamaha end and a normal computer cnx on the other
Expert:  Dan replied 9 months ago.

Was there a possibility you had plugged the cable into the output of the Yamaha instead of the input?
