Hi Joseph,

To turn on the Hotspot on your Galaxy S7,

  1. First go into settings by dragging down the notification dropdown from the top.
  2. Select Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
  3. Next, tap on Mobile Hotspot.
  4. Simply switch the toggle to enable Mobile Hotspot and you're done!

Have you tried doing a factory reset on the phone?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

Can i do that reset myself?

Expert:  Pete replied 5 months ago.

Yes, you can do this from the phone's menu:

  • Open Settings
  • Tap “Backup and reset”
  • Tap “Factory data reset”

However do understand that this will delete EVERYTHING on your device so you should backup and save any data you may want to keep first!

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

I did that factory reset and still the same thing

Expert:  Pete replied 5 months ago.

Ok, then the Hotspot option is not available on your phone for some reason - perhaps it has been blocked by the carrier - some carriers will do this to prevent excessive usage.
