There are two steps needing undertaken in order to resolve this issue.

Step 1: Configure Google to allow connections from "less secure apps."

Step 2: Setup an "application password"

  • Visit the page with the application code . You may need to sign in to your Google Account.
  • At the bottom of the page, click Select application and select the application you use.
  • Click Select Device and select the application you use.
  • Select Create .
  • Copy the password ***** displayed and paste it into the "Account Password" field of your email application

That will take care of the issue for you! If you run into any trouble or have additional questions, please let me know.

Apologies...it looks like one of my links went AWOL in that last response. Under STEP 2, bullet point 1, the link you need is: https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords
