There are several things that will decide the speed of your upgrade. It could be:

  1. Your hardware specification
  2. Processor power
  3. Disk space available
  4. Hard disk read-write speeds
  5. Amount of data on your PC that is required to be backed up and most importantly,
  6. The speed of your Internet connection.

There have been reports that the upgrade process has even taken all of 24 hours!

Although the process may appear to hang, it may just need more time.

At 23%, it is likely still downloading all dynamic updates for Windows 10, and some of those can be quite large - leave it for up to 24 hours and let me know if it completes...
