no thanks

I am waiting. Please, not direct connection at additional cost.

Are you there?
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

If there is nothing in the drive, and it is still showing that it is fully occupied, then you can format it instead of troubleshooting it?

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

I can still troubleshoot it for you remotely.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
There is something in the drive. It is full. But it is hidden. I would rather not format it without knowing the cause. Are you familiar with MedialD.bin?
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

The MediaID.bin is a reference for the backup

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

It would need to be copied along with the backed up data to be able to restore those files later.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Might the drive be full of backups? If so, where?
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

How many files/folders are in there?

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

download windirstat and use that to view.

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

it may give clues.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
There are five files showing under Data2(E:): MedialD.bin, Analytics, msdownid.tmp, THINKM78, and WindowsImageBackup. When I click on properties for each, each is empty or near empty. But when I click on properties for Data2(E:), it is near full (500 GB capacity)
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

Download windirstat, and select this drive in it. Then send me a screen shot once it has finished scanning.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Um. I downloaded windirstat from SourceForge.net and asked to run but nothing happened.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

I think it would be best to do this remotely.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Do I understand correctly that it would cost an additional $39?
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

I am not sure what you're seeing, but i have created a custom remote support request for $26.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I am correct that accepting this offer would automatically approve the initial $35, with an additional $26 subject to satisfaction guarantee?
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

Not sure what you paid initially, but yes if you are not satisfied full amount will be refunded.

Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

Could we continue later? My auto is in the shop. Repair has been completed. It should be picked up before closing.
Expert:  Kamil Anwar replied 9 months ago.

Yes, no worries. We can continue same time tomorrow.
