I have an Asus RT-N56U. Been using it for years with little issue until yesterday. It began losing internet connection with laptop over wireless. Repeatedly. I have 2 computers hooked up wired. Sometimes they would lose internet sometimes not. Today problem continued repeatedly. I updated firmware. It was:

The problem hasn't changed I lose internet on some or all devices several times each hour.

From what you are saying, I believe all three computers are losing connection at random times? Or do all three lose connection at the same time?

WIreless connections always lose internet at same time. When the wireless connects lose internet, sometimes the wired goes away too, sometimes not

It depends. I do not need to remote in yet. To start, is it all three computers disconnecting at the same time? Separate times? When you say disconnecting, what do they do exactly?

I'm on laptop, wireless connect... suddenly loses internet. check my iphone, also has lost internet. I go to a wired desktop, sometimes it has internet sometimes not. Usually wait 5 minutes and it comes back to all

I have comcast cable. I have their tower thing. wire out of that tower to my asus

OK when you lose connection, have you looked at the cable modem? I believe that is where your issue will be, as this is the link to all three devices not acting correctly. Have you noticed if the lights change on the cable modem when you lose connection?

obviously, this isn;t going to help solve my problem. I can't stay online cuz internet keeps cutting out. I'll have to say thanks for trying,. sorry to waste your time.

It's alright you could also try to connect to use using a phone connection for the internet so we can discuss this while we troubleshoot. I am sorry it has kept disconnecting and kept us from working on this further, but I would highly recommend calling Comcast and stating you believe something is wrong with the Cable modem. That is very likely where the trouble is.
