Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist. Can you tell me the brand and model number of your PC/laptop ?Not many computers running Vista came with a recovery partition.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It's an HP Desktop
Expert:  Byron replied 8 months ago.
We can try this. Shut the machine down. Then turn it back on and as soon as you see the HP logo, immediately start tapping the F11 key at the top of the keyboard. The goal here is to try and launch HP Recovery Manager. If that doesn't work I'll need to know the model number of the computer.

If it's working you should get this screen (see attachment)

We have a hard time doing this, we're seniors and it's hard to understand computers

If possible, I'd like to save you the expense of having to take it to a shop..Can we do a phone call as that would make things much easier? It's guaranteed and refundable if I can't get it to work.
