I recently updated my computer and now the keyboard and mouse do not work. Any suggestions? I've tried unplugging the computer and taking the battery out several times but that did not work.

I am using an external mouse but it does not work. The cursor is in the middle of the screen but does not move.

I do not have windows on that computer. It is a Linux system.
