Desktop computer, a Dell with windows 10, keeps showing an error box each time I attempt to open a program. No program will start

It has been going on for a couple of months - simply have not been using this computer.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dhcpcsvc6.DLL is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error...

This is a system file for windows systems that is required to run most programs. Run an sfc /scannow from command prompt with administrator privelidges to fix : right click on Start, Command Prompt, and then click Command Prompt (Run as administrator). If you areType the following command, and then press ENTER:sfc /scannow the scan may take a little while but will fix inconsistencies in windows major dll's.let me know the resultsThank you
