I have a Google app on my IPAD. When I click on the app to

I have a Google app on my IPAD. When I click on the app to search,
it brings up the search information immediately but when I choose the article
I want to read, it opens it up but after a few minutes while I'm reading it,
it automatically shuts down and brings me back to the Google search icon.
I have called Apple but they have not been able to fix the problem and
suggested that I call Google directly but I have no pin # ***** the call
will not go through. Please help me.

Hello Serafina, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.

This is either an issue with your browser, or a fault in the ipads IOS software. So we may need to try several repairs before we find the 'one' thats needed.

Lets start with a hard restart.. To do this, with the ipad on hold down the sleep /wake button and also hold down the home button at the same time. Hold them both for about 20 seconds, or until you see the ipad turn off and then back on again.

Then, try using the google app again. Is it still misbehaving?

If so, then next we need to uninstall the google app.. Heres how to uninstall an app

1. Hold your finger on either the icon for the application you wish to uninstall or any other icon until the icons on your home screen begin to shake or wiggle (the same action you take to move or re-arrange home screen icons).

2. Click the "X" in the upper left hand corner of the icon for the application you wish to remove.

3. When prompted, touch Delete.

Once the google app is uninstalled restart your ipad, then we need to reinstall google chrome next

I tried the shutdown method and it did not work.
I deleted my Google icon but could not connect the new Google app.
I am not computer savvy and will have to bring my IPAD to a service center.
If you are allowed to call me(###) ###-#### ***** you can direct me further over the phone.

When you say you couldnt connect the new google app..

Lets try a different way, go to your app store, search for google chrome.

then download and install it from the app store.. can you reinstall the google app that way?

I deleted the old Google app and installed a new Google app from my app purchases at the app store.
I'll try this and see if it solves my problem.
Is the Google app I put in the same as Google Chrome which you are asking me to install ?
I don't know the difference between the two, if there is a difference.

Im assuming that google chrome, was the google app you were talking about. As google chrome lets you access the web, search for pages, articles, etc.

It should be the same app. Unless there was some other google app you were using?

But Im fairly certain it was the google chrome app you would have been using before Serafina.

well I put in the new Google app and it is still throwing me out when I'm reading an article and returning me to the Google opening search page. I appreciate that you have tried to help me but I am totally frustrated and feel my only recourse
is to take my IPAD to an outside repairer. Unless you have other suggestions, will you please cancel my credit card
charge since the original problem still exists. Thank you
