For Online Computer Support, Ask a Computer Technician
Hello and thank you for your question, I look forward to assisting you today. Please bare with me as I may need to ask you a few questions. First, is this a laptop or desktop?
Okay thank you. How old is it please?
Okay. If you are using the power adapter, have you tried powering it up just on the battery?
Did it do exactly the same thing on the battery, and is it possible to remove the battery?
Okay. Please remove the battery and use the power adapter only and see if it will start normally.
Did you just start having this problem or have you noticed anything different in the operation prior to this?
Okay, try this for me please. Remove the battery and power supply then press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. Re-apply power and try to restart.
Are you familiar with where the RAM modules are located? There should be a small hatch on the bottom marked with a small icon that looks like a memory module. If so and you are comfortable with removing them we can try that?
Right. Once you remove the hatch, there should be two modules with one lying half over the top of the other. Let me know when you get to that point.
Only remove one then try to start your computer.
What did you open and what came off?
Was it just the screw that holds the hatch in place?
Can you describe it a little better please?
What are you referring to?
The charges are what you have already agreed to pay which should be $36.
Okay, so where are we with removing the RAM?
You mean you couldn't remove the hatch?
Still with me?
Please let me know if you are able to continue now or would like to resume at a later time?
