Hi there AJ and welcome

If you remove the ram, does the Lenovo then start up?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
when I remove the Ram and put old ram back in it starts fine. I have looked online seems like it's some what common issue with Lenovo. But couldn't find the fix.
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

What size is the Ram and the exact specifications of it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's PNY DDR3 2 8gb cards dual channel 1600mhz (pc3-12800) vas latency 11 voltage 1.35 compatible with 1600 1333 and 1066 mhz
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, and this is in addition to the memory in the Laptop already correct?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Correct the laptop is a Lenovo Z50-75 it has 8gb in it I wanted to take that out and replace it with the 2x8gb cards
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, so you only have a total of 16GB right now correct? As if you exceed 16GB it will not work.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No no I have 8gb is laptop that's what it came with 2x4gb cards I bought 2x8gb cards wanted to take out the Ram that it came with and replace it with the new ram it would have a total of 16gb ,which in user manual it says laptop should support 16gb
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

just put one 8gb in, does it start?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Let me try
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
odd same thing screen black
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, and now try the other please

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Same black screen
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, to me it points to faulty RAM when they are used at the same time. Its not exceeding the value and we know they work with the 4GB but not by themselves or together AJ. A fault with one or both of the modules is the only cause left for this and I would return it to be replaced.
