Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist.
The cable you need depends on what type of outputs your laptop has.
Can you tell me the make and model please?
You've got two options here. You can use an HDMI cable from the laptop to the TV. The HDMI cable carries both
sound and video. Using the TV remote, you'd set the input to the appropriate HDMI port.
You can also run a VGA cable from the laptop to the TV. It's the port that looks like this (see attachment)
It may also be black in color.
The drawback to VGA is that it does not carry audio. To work around that, you would need to run an
audio cable from the headphone jack on the laptop to the audio input jack on the TV.
You'd set the input on the TV to VGA/PC to make the video connection. Selecting VGA also makes
the audio port active.
For HDMI you'll need male on both ends.
Just to make sure you have enough cable you can get a 15 ft.

for a good price.
Native resolution on the laptop is 1366 x 768
The resolution on the TV is the same.
A 1080 rated cable can handle resolution up to 1920 x 1080
OK. Thank you for the update.
That's great to hear. Have a great day.
