If the problem is related to only keyboard then Acer must fix the keyboard and not erase your windows 7 os however before shipping out the laptop i would suggest you to backup all your important data files, pictures, emails favorites etc on an external drive.

I am sorry to know that you are facing problem with your Acer. You have posted question with us and i have answered to the best of my knowledge however if you do not agree to what i have said you may experience when it comes to factory restore and data loss. My duty to let you know what happens when it goes to the manufacturers workshop. I will opt out as you do not agree and wish to cancel service from us.
