My Acer laptop running Windows 8.1 will not download any

Customer Question

My Acer laptop running Windows 8.1 will not download any files, will not update using windows update, majority of flash does not work online either.
When trying to download files:
On IE - they will download most of the way through, then say download interrupted, then I can resume the download but it either ends up failing, or when the download is complete the program will not run or open or anything.
On Firefox- Files will not finish downloading or will download and be 0MB in size therefor will not run.
When trying to update:
Using Windows Update - Updates seem to download then they fail with error message 80072EE2.
Java - error message stating installation failed or interrupted
Some flash works, but I get a green screen or glitchy video sometimes. For example I can watch some hulu videos online but not the ads?
Please I have been scrounging the internet for 3 days trying to fix this problem but most answers I find involve me downloading some sort of program or file which I am unable to do, it is driving me insane!!!
I just sold my xbox thinking I could use my computer for TV/Video but now I can't do hardly anything! I CANT EVEN WATCH DVD's ON THIS DAMN THING!

Hello,

I will be the person helping you today.

I can see that you may need a little bit of extra help. May I start a screen sharing session on your computer and help you resolve the problem?

Once the remote session begins, we will be able to communicate via a chat window on your computer while I rid your computer of all these headaches.

Thank you,
Jason
